Good fun putting it together, and it works great! Excellent conversation piece, or just to watch. If the company offers another one, I'll buy it immediately!
This product was shipped as a gift wrap item with extra instructions.

This is a great little puzzle.
I brought it home at Christmas for the kids and it was the adults that became addicted!
I will purchase more of Jean Claude Constantin’s puzzles for sure. Purchasing through
Wooden City was a very good experience. Confirmation email and tracking info was quick.
I will definitely support this company instead of “The big river in South America “
Thank you Wooden City!
I bought it as a gift but may purchase another type of kit[Ferris Wheel] for myself.
This is a unique model. Creative idea and clever design. Lots of fun to build. When you complete each digit and operate it for the first time it is rewarding to see it move like a real finger and the tactile feedback operating it will put a smile the face of anyone anyone interested in mechanical works. Amazing what a few pieces of wood can do when working in concert. I recommend using plenty of wax and sanding the finger holes to create a nice, smooth edge. The finished model is really fun to show; people are a little creeped out by how realistic the movements are but equally impressed and amused at the same time. It is not a functional hand; anything beyond an empty soda can will be a challenge to pick up, and it is pretty fragile, understandable since it is held together by just toothpicks and rubber bands. Great value for the fun it delivers. My compliments to the designer and manufacturer, it's a home run in my book.
Received within a few days of placing order. Have not add chance to start assembling it yet. I expect the same excellent quality as with the Kinetic Picture and the 4x4 jeep which I successfully assembled.
It was easy to put together and will go along with the Willis Jeep 4x4 perfectly. It took me approximately 4 hours to put together.
I can’t wait until I get the next item. Idk yet what it will be. It’s just for the look in my home not as a functioning clock everyday. Conversation piece.
Just started about 3 days ago.
Seems to be going along well. Had to sand the back side to help ease some of smaller parts out. The laser cutting seems to be done very well. I only work on it a few minutes a day. I would recommend reading the instructions and looking how they all fir in final assembly.
I will be starting putting all gear assemblies between sides.
I would recommend this for somebody over 14 years old.
It went to gether fine. I mounted the model in a vice to test it out. Without the Pendulum the weight fell freely and quickly, but with the pendulum it keeps stopping. I have waxed and oiled all the gears and the pendulum. And it is very sensitive as to the position of the whole model as to where the pendulum will swing at all. I have tried hanging it on the wall and the pendulum doesn't swing at all. I think it has to mounted on a hanging device that has the model 1/4" or mor from the wall so that the weight doesn't rub on the wall. Any suggestions as to which gears might be causing the pendulum to stop it's movement?
I bought this as a gift to my daughter (10) as a daddy daughter project. However, it was quite challenging and she wasn’t able to help much. She loves the box but this is definitely for adults. I had a ton of fun building this kit and we all love displaying on our piano.
Can't believe how cool the hand came out. Directions were so easy to follow.
bought for a gift, has yet to be delivered
bought for a gift and has yet to be delivered
these were ordered for a gift, as yet they have not been given, i will give an update after that. Otherwise delivery was quick and easy ordering, will order more at a later date if they are workable for the intended person can use them
I love the widgets. They are quick builds but satisfying. I buy them for when I need to build something but don't have time for a big project. Afterwards, they hang out on my desk at home or at work.
I bought this one because the plane looked like fun-it was a more 3 dimensional widget than the rest. The other two are also great and well designed toys. Gears work well and they are made of solid plywood-no breaks! I actually do play with them often. I find myself fidgeting with them either at work or when I am doing my homework.
This kit provided a good example of the high precision and quality that is used throughout their product line. It's a great way to get a feel for what to expect.
I loved this product. It was fun and pretty easy to build. Once built it is pretty amazing.
but does not work for more than 30 min. tried sinker idea from Tzu-Wei Yang.. any ideas anybody ?
I have a thing for maps and globes and I have been eyeing this since I saw it posted on the website. I told my aunt about it and she ended up buying it for me as a bday gift. I think it is gorgeous. I am happy my aunt bought me the the non-colored globe as I think it has that antique style I love about old maps. It sits center on our piano and visitors often comment on how much they enjoy it too. I was wondering how the directions were going to explain building the globe portion, but I found them very easy and direct. I build a lot of mechanical models and i would have to say this is one of my favorite. Except for one, all the pieces they are thick and stay together perfectly. The one piece that gave me problems was the inside base. The top supporting base connected perfectly, but the bottomwould not lock into place. Tried switching it up incase I got them mixed up, but the globe is symmetrical and that one piece was just not going to lock into place on it's own. I used a bit of glue between the base and the globe's scaffolding and everything else made for a perfect fit.
I love this map. I don't have a lot of decorations on my wall, but the map alone i think is perfect. I do however, wish that they would include a different type of mounting tape. At one point, the pieces fell of the wall, but the tape was left behind. Perhaps the type of mounting tape included is just not strong enough for the pieces to stay on the wall? However, props to wooden city because they sent extra mounting tape... however, it still was not a good match for the pieces. Tape is still on the wall and pieces fell off. The map is amazing; so happy I bought it. I went and got my own mounting tape, and it looks fantastic and I have had no problems.
Love the puzzle but could not put it together, the instructions were all messed up, parts of the instructions were missing, I called wooden city and talked with Nadia Dorohov, she said she would mail me another, but have not received it yet, she sent a tracking number said it would be here on 1/31/2019, but it has not arrived yet. I may order more from them, than I may not.
crane was a very fun wooden model to do
Hi! I’ve done at least 7 of these models. I saw your review, and the things you tried to do to make it run longer than 1 hour before stopping on it’s own. Hopefully, you’ll see this and be able to make your clock run much longer! Thing is, the little cage thing they give you for the weight doesn’t do the trick! Even filled to the top with quarters, it’s not enough weight, and soon the clock stops like you said. The fix for this is to go to a fishing/tackle shop and get a 12 oz. torpedo sinker (made of lead) and tie a loop in your string, and run it through the top hole on the sinker and then the sinker thru the loop you made to form a slip knot (see pic) and you’re good to go! Just make sure you wax your gears, and it should run nicely! That’s it! It just needs more weight!
So, I got this as a bday present which means I can't be a verified purchaser... I have been wanting it since wooden city posted it on their website and I was so excited to get it. I loved making this, and it is beautiful. Currently sitting on top of our piano and I love seeing it when I sit down to play. Turn it around a few times a day just because.
I am a devoted mechanical puzzle hobbiest, so not quite sure how to gage this for the average builder. I found it an extremely easy build with very clear and concise directions. I was wondering how they were going to show the directions for putting together the actual panels on the circular globe, but they were great. No, "oops, that doesn't go there." It is very strait forward as to which pieces go on which panel and the physical panel pieces themselves have numbers on the face that points inward, so they don't show when the puzzle is finished. The directions are in color and very precise and organized. I was curious and skipped ahead to see how they would explain how the globe fit together, and was pleased to see that they also were very clear and concise, showing how the panels are arranged on the globe by showing the corresponding panel numbers and how they rank in the order from top to bottom.
The hardest was the base, due to having to get all the panels to line up, but my coordination is a little off due to a hand injury.
Anyways, gorgeous. Love it. Pic is below as I can't verify my purchase.
After receiving Kit I was amazed at its quality and precision parts. Fun to put together. GREAT!
I purchased the Magic Clock as a gift. It is very nice quality pieces, very challenging, and so much fun to put together!

Wood Trick Catapult
Like all of yr products, they were fun to build for my grandson! Wait til he sees I got the Kinetic Pendulum kit for him for
These kits are perfection. This is my 2nd major purchase & we are so thrilled with the quality, the instruction booklet is clear & easy to follow, the designs are unique & the kits really are so well constructed that the finished product is gratifying. My 12 yr old grandson built the "Kinetic Sculpture " kit alone, so don't think they are above kids' ability. If they can build Lego kits, they can build these. As intricate as they look, they are pretty uncomplicated. All they need is patience. A great product, anyone would enjoy one as a gift. We'll order many more of these. They are so beautiful they can be hung on a wall in yr living room, not hidden elsewhere. I can't wait to surprise him with the Pendulum kit & the 3 little Widgets kit this Christmas!! Customer service is so helpful & accessible if u have questions..
